Therapy in Newport Beach, CA

In-Person therapy in Newport, Irvine, and Orange County

Sometimes you need to actually sit across from someone.

Telehealth is convenient and it works well for a lot of people. But there are times when being in a room with another person, away from your home, your office, and everything that pulls at your attention, makes all the difference.

My Newport Beach office is a private, comfortable space where you can explore your feelings privately. Easy to find, easy to park, and far enough from the noise of your day to feel like a genuine break from it.

Quietly running on empty

Newport Beach and the surrounding Orange County communities are full of capable, driven, high-functioning adults who are quietly running on empty. Young professionals building careers and families at the same time. Entrepreneurs carrying the weight of businesses and the particular loneliness that comes with being the one in charge. College students and young adults navigating the disorienting gap between who they thought they would be by now and who they actually are.

From the outside, things look fine. But that’s exactly the problem.

If you are someone who has always found a way to push through, who takes care of everything and everyone, and who is starting to notice that the pushing is costing you more than it used to, this is the right place to start.

Who comes to my office in Newport Beach:

Young professionals who are managing careers, relationships, and the pressure of building an adult life that looks as good as it feels. If you have hit a point where the life you have built doesn't quite match how you feel inside it, that's exactly where we start.

Entrepreneurs and business owners who carry the particular weight of being the decision maker, the responsible one, and the person everyone else looks to. The isolation of that role is real and it rarely gets talked about. We talk about it.

College students and young adults at UCI, CSUF, and throughout Orange County who are navigating the quarter-life transition: the gap between expectations and reality, the adulting anxiety, the imposter syndrome, and the pressure to have it figured out before you've had time to figure anything out.

Neurodivergent adults who are done masking in professional and social environments and ready to understand how their brain actually works. Whether you are newly diagnosed or have known for years, this is a space where your way of being is welcomed rather than managed.

Siblings of people with disabilities in Orange County who have spent a lifetime being the responsible one and have never quite had space for their own experience. This is one of my most specialized areas of practice and one I hold with particular care.

What we work on together.

In-person sessions at my Newport Beach office follow the same approach as my telehealth work: direct, warm, practically grounded, and built around who you actually are.

I specialize in anxiety, perfectionism and imposter syndrome, burnout recovery, neurodivergent-affirming therapy, executive functioning challenges, quarter-life transitions and adulting anxiety, and therapy for siblings of people with disabilities. I use talk therapy and EMDR, and for those who want it, art and sandtray work as well. I keep fidgets and visuals in my office because I work with a lot of brains that need more than just words.

My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and spiritually inclusive.

Working with Morgan

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Newport Beach, CA, licensed in both California and Virginia. I see in-person clients at my Newport Beach office and telehealth clients throughout California and Virginia. My approach is direct and warm. I'll say the honest thing rather than just the comfortable one, and I work best with adults who are ready to actually get somewhere rather than just talk about it. Whether you are a young professional, an entrepreneur, a college student, or someone who has simply been holding it together for too long, I would love to connect. Evening appointments are available for clients whose schedules don't allow for daytime sessions.
