Frequently asked questions

  • Before making any appointments, I require a 15-minute phone consultation where I explain my approach to therapy and make sure I’m the right fit for what you’re looking for.

  • Yes, I accept Aetna insurance.

  • I can provide a “superbill” for services as an out-of-network provider. This is a detailed, itemized receipt that shows diagnosis, sessions provided, and my license information that you can submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement. Please note that although your insurance may provide reimbursement for out-of-network services, not all services may be covered. I strongly recommend you contact your insurance before starting therapy to ensure your insurance provides partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers.

  • $180 per 50-minute session

  • You must attempt to contact me (phone, email, text) at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you do not contact me with 24 hours notice, you will be billed for the full amount of the session.

  • It happens, and I encourage you to talk to me about it. I have many wonderful colleagues who approach therapy in a variety of ways, and I’m sure I know someone who could meet your needs.

  • As a rule of thumb, I always start with weekly appointments. How often you come to therapy is a discussion between us and we’ll decide together how often you should come in. I typically see clients on a weekly or every-other-week basis.

  • Your first session will involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs. We’ll discuss what your goals for therapy are and create a plan together.
